Important Technical Note: This bracket is the unseen structural element primarily responsible for locking and securing the rear tail light into its proper position, as well as adjusting the alignment of the panel gaps (Gaps) so it looks completely seamless and uniform with the rear side quarter panel and the tailgate. In the event of a rear impact or light parking lot friction, the small snap-in tabs on this bracket often crack or break, which causes the tail light to loosen, its edges to protrude awkwardly, or rainwater and carwash leaks to seep inside the inner body frame. The component is designed for a direct bolt-on installation (Bolt-on) onto factory mounting points. It is highly recommended to inspect the lighting wiring harness and plugs to ensure they are functional before snapping the new tail light in and tightening it down.
