Important Technical Note: Please note that Chevrolet Equinox vehicles underwent a front and rear facelift (Facelift) for the 2022-2023 models; although the exterior dimensions of the tailgate are identical in terms of hinge mounting, the shape of the inner rear tail light recesses and mounts (integrated into the tailgate) differs between the (2018-2021) models and the (2022-2023) models. It must also be determined whether the vehicle is equipped with a hydraulic power liftgate system (Power Liftgate) or a standard manual system to ensure the compatibility of the lift support mounts. It is highly recommended to perform an initial installation check and test fit (Test Fit) on the vehicle to adjust the alignment of the side panel gaps (Gaps) with the rear fenders and the bumper before beginning the final paint process. Use extreme care when transferring the rear glass, wiring harness, backup camera, wiper motor, and the original safety latch assembly to the new tailgate.
