Dryness of the rubber, excessive softness (sagging), or signs of calcification and crusting at the ends indicate the end of its useful lifespan; neglecting it can lead to a sudden burst, completely draining the coolant and causing severe engine failure. Upon replacement, it is recommended to install new hose clamps (Hose Clamps), and it is absolutely necessary to bleed the air (Bleeding) from the cooling system after refilling with original coolant to ensure no trapped air pockets cause the vehicle to overheat.
