Highly Important Technical Note: Ford F-150 trucks feature two separate moving shutter systems; this specific component is the lower assembly (Lower AGS) which is mounted at the bottom of the front bumper. This system plays a vital and pivotal role, especially in EcoBoost engine trims (2.7L and 3.5L), as it is located directly in front of the turbocharger intercooler (Intercooler) to regulate the flow of cold air and ensure the highest engine combustion efficiency, in addition to its role in improving vehicle aerodynamics and reducing fuel consumption at high speeds.
Since this part is located in a low area of the front end, it is the most vulnerable to damage and breakage from climbing curbs, undercarriage impacts, or off-road driving. Due to the comprehensive facelift (Facelift) for Ford F-150 vehicles from the 2024 model through the current 2026 models, the design and size of the lower shutter assembly differ completely from the (2021-2023) models.
