It functions as an air shield (Air Shield) to direct airflow directly toward the coolers, prevent heat recirculation, and give the engine bay a clean, organized appearance. It installs directly via a push-pin and original bolt system (Bolt-on) onto the standard factory mounting holes down to the millimeter without any gaps.
