Its primary function is to secure the headlight assembly to the vehicle's internal radiator support (Radiator Support) and the fender, ensuring the bolt fastening points are locked in their correct positions to guarantee lighting stability and prevent the headlamp from loosening or shaking while driving on rough or uneven roads.
Due to the comprehensive front-end facelift (Facelift) introduced on the Chevrolet Silverado from the 2016 model through 2018, the angles and distribution of the headlight mounting bolts completely changed compared to the previous generation models (2014-2015).
