Highly Important Technical Note (Electric Control System & Check Engine Light): The Active Grille Shutter system on RAM Classic trucks relies on a highly intelligent network managed electronically by the vehicle's main computer (PCM). These blades automatically close at high speeds to improve vehicle aerodynamics (Aerodynamics) and reduce fuel consumption, while opening completely when the engine requires cooling or when the A/C is turned on.

Engineering Installation Warning (Highly Important): Since the RAM Classic trim relies on the fourth-generation architecture (DS), the frame dimensions and electrical plug location differ entirely from fifth-generation RAM trucks (DT), and it absolutely does not fit them.

This new aftermarket shutter assembly features an integrated electric actuator motor (Actuator) configured to match original factory signal frequencies. Broken slats due to front-end collisions or internal motor failure caused by dust accumulation will immediately jam the blades (either closed, causing the engine to overheat, or open). In both cases, the vehicle's computer will log a fault code (such as P1D73), illuminate the Check Engine light on the dashboard, and disable the remote start system. Connection is a direct plug-and-play (Plug & Play) into the original factory harness without needing complex programming.
