Technical Note: The GTD-style engine hood represents the boldest aesthetic upgrade for the new generation Ford Mustang (2024-2026 S650). The function of this hood is not limited to its exceptional visual impact—transforming the front fascia into a replica of the limited-edition supercar (Mustang GTD)—but it also plays an important functional and aerodynamic role. The massive ventilation openings help relieve air pressure built up inside the engine bay at high speeds (reducing front lift forces), while continuously and effectively expelling excess heat from the engine and transmission. The hood comes equipped with factory-spec mounting points for the hinges and the standard front safety latch to install directly in place of the stock hood. It is always highly recommended to have it installed and aligned by a professional body technician to set the lateral side gaps down to the millimeter relative to the fenders and headlights.
